1. SAGA 2021 Annual General Meeting

Our Annual General Meeting will be held on Thursday 28th October at 19:00 in St Oswalds Church Hall on Coney Hill Road, GL4 4LX, subject to any COVID 19 restrictions in place on this date.

The following COVID 19 control measures will be in place: hand sanitizer on the door, mask wearing and enhanced ventilation of the meeting room.
To help reduce numbers attending, we ask that couples or others who share a plot only send one person to represent their views.

Because of the current situation we will need to know details of those attending prior to the meeting.
Please email sagasecretary@saintbridge.org.uk  giving your Name, Plot & Telephone number if you will be in attendance.
Unfortunately, anyone just turning up on the day may be refused entry due to restrictions imposed by the Church Hall.
There is always the possibility that the meeting may have to be cancelled at short notice and those attending will need to be informed.
We also respectfully ask that masks are worn, or we may turn people away for the safety of the rest of the attendees.


At the AGM the current Committee will all step down and a new Committee will be elected.
A Nomination form is available from the list of relevant documents below should you want to join the Committee.
Nominations are invited for the positions of Chairman, Secretary, Treasurer, and up to 3 committee members.
There is also space for Sub-Committee members if you would like to be involved in a small way, such as fund raising, hedge cutting etc.
To be appointed to the Committee, you must be a plotholder (with a tenancy agreement in place) and will need to be nominated by a plotholder (not your partner / co-worker if you share a plot) and seconded by another plot holder (same rules as before). 
Nomination forms must be received by sagasecretary@saintbridge.org.uk by 17:00 on 21 October 2021.  No nominations will be considered after this time and date, including at the meeting itself.

Listed below are all the relevant documents associated with this AGM. Please take the time to read them before the meeting, and if possible provide any other business that you would like added to the agenda in advance.
You may arrive from 19:00 and we will begin the meeting promptly  at 19:15. The Hall is only booked until 21:00 so we cannot overrun, any unfinished business will have to be concluded online.

2. Allotment Security Review - The intent of this document is to recognise issues with security at the SAGA site, explore and document possible preventative measures and provide a baseline for ongoing site development. It does not does seek to dictate measures that must be undertaken to absolutely secure the site. There are useful tips for all plotholders on how to prevent acts of theft and vandalism.

3. Weed Control Advice - General advice on weed recognition and control together with guidance on best digging practices (particulary useful for new plot holders)

4. Planting Guide and Calendar - An overview of how to prepare and plan your allotment plot with information on pest identification and control. There is also a monthly activity calendar that will help you organise your time throughout the year (again particulary useful for new plot holders)
